Following my post yesterday about Zhang Yimou's Hero, there is a long appreciation here of the great cinematographer Christopher Doyle. Money quote: "Anybody who works with me knows what shit they're in for". But he's the best. See his work on Wong Kar-wai's 2046 if you doubt it.
